Our Homes
To ensure the success of this program, we needed to look at housing options that allowed for the most liveable space. This means instead of the traditional housing models such as detached and semi-detached single-family homes; we went to work with our build partners and municipalities to build the following styles:
Townhouses
Generally 2 to 3 1/2-storey structures that share a sidewall with a neighbouring unit, they typically have a front and a back.
Stacked Townhouses
These share a sidewall and have units stacked vertically (typically two or three). Like the townhouse type they have a front and a back.
Back-Back Townhouses
These share a rear wall as well as a sidewall and have two fronts. Each unit has its own entrance to grade.
Stacked Back-Back Townhouses
These share a rear wall as well as a sidewall and have units stacked vertically. This can include many layout solutions such as two-level units stacked on top of one-level units. Each unit has its own entrance to grade.
Green Space
NWH would like to enhance community and residence spaces within the development with added sidewalks and hard landscaping which will help to enhance the communities. Utilizing the entire site while limiting wasted space will be an integral part of all NWH developments as these spaces help to:
- Support Long-term Economic Growth
- Strengthens Community Cohesion
- Improves Mental Health
- Relationship Building for Residences and Community
- Promote Education and Biodiversity
